A practical guide
What an IT asset register should hold
At minimum: asset tag, serial, model, location, who has it, purchase date and warranty end. Capsultory holds all of these, and custom fields cover anything else your finance or audit team asks for.
Why location matters more than a spreadsheet row
A spreadsheet tells you an asset exists. A board tells you where it is, what state it is in, and who touched it last, which is what you need when something goes missing.
Keep the data in house
Capsultory keeps inventory on your own computer or network share, with optional backup to your own Google Drive or OneDrive.

Can I import from another tool?
Yes. Import a CSV or Excel export from Snipe-IT, Lansweeper, Asset Panda or a spreadsheet, or sync from Intune, Jamf and SCCM.
Do I need a server?
No. Capsultory is a Windows app. Several PCs can share one inventory through a folder on your network.
Is there per user pricing?
No. Plans are per location, with unlimited users.
How much does it cost?
IT Assets is priced per location, never per seat: Single Site is $99 USD a month for up to 200 assets, and Multi Site is $249 a month for up to 5 locations with unlimited assets. Every plan starts with a 14 day free trial.
