Custom fields, tags and photos for every item
Every business tracks something extra: a cost centre, a condition, a bin location, a PO number. Capsultory lets an Admin add custom fields to assets or products, tag items across locations, and attach a photo to anything.

Each field applies to IT assets or retail products.
Tags across locations
Group items with tags such as Loaner, VIP or Seasonal, wherever they sit.
Photos
Add a photo to any asset or product. It is shrunk automatically to keep files light.
Searchable
Asset search matches tags and custom field values.
Tracked changes
Changes to custom fields on assets show in the activity history.
How it works
Add fields
Admins open Customize, Fields and tags, and add fields.
Fill them in
Open an asset or product and fill the fields.
Tag items
Type a tag and press Enter.
Search
Search by tag or field value from the top bar.

Use a field when every item has a value, like cost centre. Use a tag when only some items belong to a group, like Loaner.
Keep list choices short
A pick from a list field with four or five choices keeps data clean and reports readable.

Who can add custom fields?
Admins add and remove fields. Anyone who can edit can fill them in.
Can I remove a tag from everything?
Yes. Fields and tags lists every tag with a count. Remove one to take it off every item.
Do photos make the file big?
Photos are resized to a small JPEG before saving.
